The background...
This handcrafted mixed-media collage features an array of elements, including vintage music paper, an Australian 4d stamp from a series printed between 1937 and 1959, and a piece of the original envelope it was mailed on. It also incorporates illustrations from vintage books, words from a vintage French dictionary, washi paper, ink and resin. I have framed it on a mid-century black plastic belt buckle to create this unique and striking brooch.
