The background...
This elegant and quirky necklace is designed to open and close at the front, and features a vintage attendance medal along with a key, which I acquired from an antique shop on my recent visit to the UK. I believe that a good education supports success, and the individual who received this medal attended school for all but five days that year! I’ve complemented the shield shaped medallion and key with hand-wired Cherry Quartz beads and textured brass rope chain dating to the 1960s, that I sourced from old warehouse stock.
