This sautoir styled necklace features a beautiful pendant that I created from a Mother-of-Pearl handle I recently acquired at an antique shop in the UK. I believe that it probably came from part of a manicure or dressing table set. I’ve suspended the pendant from a repurposed vintage belt link and gold-plated chain set with vintage mother of pearl beads. Completed with a vintage spring clasp, this versatile necklace can be worn as a sautoir or styled as a double-stranded choker.
Mother of Pearl is said to promote a sense of calm, balance, and emotional clarity, and is commonly believed to attract prosperity.
