The background…
The chain I designed for this sautoir necklace was inspired by a Chanel piece that I saw some time ago. It features lustrous faux pearls made in Japan c.1980s, rhinestone rondelles from vintage warehouse stock, repurposed channel-set acrylic rhinestones and a beautifully textured chain. I've incorporated a spring ring clasp at the front, from which a charming gold-tone locket hangs. This design is versatile, allowing it to be worn as both a sautoir and a double-stranded choker.
